Why do you think Dave Ramsey is so passionate about teaching people how to manage money?

I think its because he sees how bad financially our country is struggling and has a solution that has statistically been proven to work on several occasions and knows that if we as Americans would listen and follow his system we as a country could be much better off for the future. But I also think he just wants to help kids/teens. He realizes that they can be independent young adults that don't struggle financially whether it be through school or a house or a car. Debt is a HUGE battle for young adults and ruins the lives of many people each day. If we take the system he has come up with and apply it to our lives and really put forth an effort we can be financially stable as we embark into the adult world.

He wants to help change the future of America one student at a time. Patrick Henry believed that in order to change America for the better good, you had to start and instill the youth with the proper life tools. He said that it was easier to teach the kids than to try to correct the adults.

Because he won with money and he wants everyone else to also.

I believe it's because he knows what it's like to hit rock bottom because of poor financial decisions and he doesn't want others to make the same mistakes he did.

I agree with Hunter. It's good to learn about personal finance as a student because you can learn so many things now to help with your financial choices in the future. If more people learned about saving, spending, budgeting and investing as students, it would prepare them for when they have to face financial decisions later in life and could save them a lot of debt and problems with money.

I agree with Alex, that he wants everyone to know what he knows so that everyone else can have the same success that he dose now.

As we learned in the video, one of the biggest causes of divorce these days is financial problems. I think Dave Ramsey recognizes that money affects many parts of your life and so it is an extremely important topic to teach about.

In a bit of historical context, Dave Ramsey grew up during the 70s, when consumer credit really became available and mass-marketed. He actually went bankrupt after becoming a millionaire. Ms. Michelle and I grew up during the late 80s, when advertising really hit its stride in marketing credit to everyone.
Consumer debt is overwhelming now, mainly because using credit is expected of everyone. Most apartments and car dealerships require a credit check to do business with you. Managing your money (and your behavior) and not letting it manage you is key to not getting into a credit debt situation.

I think it's because he knows a lot about finance and wants to teach people who don't know much about it. So you can have a good quality of life.
