What is one thing you learned about the American credit industry?

That we rely on it way to much. The credit industry is like a drug once started its extremely hard to quit we just keep using it more and more while thinking its helping us and in the current moment that may be true but its destroying our country in the long run. We are selling our selves to people such as china on a regular bases because of credit, they just keep giving and giving to us and eventually we will be so far over our heads in debt that they will own us and there is nothing we will be able to do to stop them. It started out as something we could use to help us in a pinch but has quickly turned into an addiction, we have used it so many times that if we were to try and stop at this current moment we would end up bankrupt and as a country financially collapse.

Yeah, definitely. I'd agree that it started out as a good thing, but it has evolved into something that is actually destroying us. We're deceiving ourselves if we think the credit industry is "taking the easy way out" because in reality we're making it harder on ourselves.

The American credit issue is one that has been with us since it began. If you look at it now, we are more than 17 or 18 trillion dollars into debt and will never get out of that without a financial collapse or a restart to the American economy.

that we are really addicted to it and the more debt we go into the harder it will be to stop and to try and fix it before it destroys us all together.

I agree with Michaela, however, we are already in so much dept that it probably wont be paid off while we are still alive, and it most definitely wont be if we keep relying on credit cards to get what we want!

Most Americans have credit card debt. Because they don't pay the full amount back or they buy things they can't afford.
