What are the costs and benefits of paying taxes?

The cost is that you lose money, but the benefit is that (most of the time) it goes to good things, like paving roads and paying for schools.

Both the cost and benefit depends on who is in charge at the moment. So for now, we pay a good amount and the benefit is that everyone or most everyone if they want can be on welfare, medicade and social security. Depending on your view point, that could be good or bad.

Cost is taxes are expensive lots of times so a lot of your money is taken, but benefits are taxes are used for things that are helpful and necessary for us like roads and various other things that we couldn't take care of on our own

it depends on what situation you are currently in but the cost of paying taxes is that the majority of you pay check is taken to pay for stuff that you may not want to pay for and the benefit is that the tax money is used for good things such as poor people, construction, military, and many other things.
