What are some education alternatives to a four-year university?

Community or technical colleges have certificates and Associates degrees availible. Apprenticing is another source of education that is still very much around. There are also programs for people who would like to speed up the process to take essentially crash courses for the tests and CLEP their way to a degree.

Trade school, online school, community colleges, certificates, CLEP, finding a mentor in the area you're interested in, etc.
