When you budget, you learn self control, and you also have more money than before because it's not all going somewhere else. You can save up for things and be able to pay for them in cash

Budgeting helps you save money because when you write a budget, you set spending limits for yourself. If you stay within those limits, you can eliminate extra spending and debt.

Budgeting helps you save money because when you write a budget, you set spending limits for yourself. If you stay within those limits, you can eliminate extra spending and debt. Also, when budgeting you see how much money you have to spend and that helps you know how much you can afford to spend in your different categories.

It helps you realize that you actually have more money than you think (at least in my case). You can see how much is coming in and how much is going out.

I agree with everyone here but also it helps you to know exactly how much you have and you wont end up spending 'extra' money when I reality you don't have any extra.

You realize how much money you can spend weekly/monthly. I agree with McKenna. It gives you guidelines for your money so you know how much you can spend/save.

You are telling your money exactly where to go and because of the guidelines, if you stick to them, you won't get caught up in debt or overspending.

It helps you develop self control from buying things on an impulse and to put your money towards more important things.
