I would say its okay as long as you KNOW you have the money to pay it off. I agree with John. I personally don't want to use one just so I'm not tempted into following all the "buy now pay later" trends, but for someone who knows how to handle a credit card carefully I think it's okay.

I don't think there is a situation where a credit card is really a whole lot better than a debit card. So I would say for me personally, never. For other people, i would tell them to think it through carefully and be discerning if they asked me what I thought.

it is never OK to use one I don't agree that it's NEVER ok to use a credit card. My parents are very good with their budget and saving and they have credit cards. My mother wants me to get a credit card so that I can start building a good credit score. Although she knows that I'm cheap and don't tend to spend money often so that might have something to do with it. She only wanted my older sister to get a debit card because she tended to buy a lot of things.
