It is ok to use a credit card only when you have the money. If you don't have the money don't use credit you will go into debt.

After trying for five minutes I've discovered that I can't figure out how to reply, but I agree with McKenna. Spending money you don't have is a terrible idea, and you could quite possibly spend much more than you intended, therefore sinking you deeper in debt.

It's easy to swipe when you don't have cash but it's much safer than a credit card! With a debit card you will never be allowed to spend any more than what is in your account. I think that would be a better option than a credit card, even if you do plan not to spend when you don't have the money.

My parents use credit card occasionally for big purchases or online shopping. however, they are very careful about paying it off every month and never spend more than they have. I don't think using a credit card is a good habit to get into though.

Some people can control their spending with credit cards and only use it when necessary, but it is very risky and could be a bad habit to get trapped in.

In my opinion it is never okay to use a credit card due to the fact that after you swipe it two or three times, you will like not having to count out cash. I personally will never use one if i can help it, however, there may be some situations where you think that you need to use one in order to buy something that costs more than the amount of cash you have on you at that moment.

I feel like there are going to be some rare circumstances where using a credit card is acceptable, at the very least when you're not going in debt. But I definitely agree that a debit card can do pretty much the exact same thing without the temptation to spend more money then you have.
