Yes, several years in a row I have saved up for summer camps, and all in all I've saved up around $1,500 for all of them. Not much, but when I don't have much of an income it feels great

I have tried to save up for stuff but when I go to the store or out with friends I spend all my money because I didn't put it into a savings account.

I haven't had to buy anything really expensive yet, but I am putting money in savings for a car. I am currently saving up for a car when I turn 16 also. When I was 8 or 9 I saved up $100 to buy an iPod Nano and it was the biggest accomplishment of my life and I thought I was rich. |

I've saved for many items I need for riding horses (it can get expensive unfortunately), a mission trip, a gun, and I am currently saving up for a car.
